Abstract

I have composed a complex music score and sound design layer for the experimental contemporary dance film Sensate (2016, dir. Jo Cork), which has been selected for Festival Internacional Videodanza (Colombia, first award winner), Triskelion Arts Centre’s Dance Film Festival (New York), Birmingham Dance Network, Short Waves Festival (Poland, award nominee), Rollout Dance Film Festival (Macao), Trans(m)it Festival, The Motus Project (London), 2Faced Dance at The Courtyard (Hereford). I worked very closely with the director/choreographer, as we processed dance and music with the latest video editing and music sequencing technology, which enabled me to gain a deep understanding of contemporary dance choreography and its relationship with music.
