Abstract

This article provides an overview of coronavirus and COVID-19 and how the virus can be transmitted to the eyes, resulting in conjunctivitis. Specifically, COVID-19 conjunctivitis will be addressed with reference to its treatment, management, and practical issues related to promoting safe eye care. The importance of health promotion with reference to general and ocular health advice is then highlighted. It concludes that raising public awareness about the need for good personal hygiene and general health is critical to promoting and maintaining ocular health to prevent the spread of COVID-19 conjunctivitis.
