Abstract

Breath Pieces is a hybrid art work, an expanded choreographic project operating across art forms including performance, sound, video, drawing and graphic notation for breath. Breath Pieces works with the materiality of breath and the breathing body. Rosanna Irvine is responsible for the concept and choreography for the piece and my contribution was the generative sound/music composition. The piece is a Tramway commission with partner support from The Work Room, City Moves, Cove Park and Scottish Dance Theatre. Breath Pieces is Supported by the National Lottery through Creative Scotland.
