This course is an introduction to key musical idea and concepts in The Schillinger System of Musical Composition by Joseph Schillinger. The first lesson deals largely with matters of rhythm. It includes a discussion of dynamics as it relates to contrasting intensity of volume, and pitch, which includes melody and harmony, but also explains aspects of large scale construction techniques.
