This is Georges Méliès's wonderful fairytale film (starring Méliès himself) La Lune à un mètre known as The Astronomer’s Dream (1898) with an improvised soundtrack by Robert Sholl (piano) and Caroline Ledoux (bruiteuse), recorded by Justin Whittingham on 17 October 2023.
