Ressin, Malte, Abdelnour-Nocera, Jose and Smith, Andy (2011) A taxonomy of software localization issues with connections to the development process. In: Designing for Global Markets 10: Proceedings of the Tenth International Workshop on Internationalisation of Products and Systems, 11 - 14 July 2011, Kuching, Malaysia.Full text not available from this repository.
In a software development project, localization is a sub-process attached to the actual development process. Depending on the applied development methodology, this might come with its own challenges. In this paper, we examine how interplay between and implementation of localization process and software development methodology can lead to localization issues. A taxonomy of issues is suggested and their possible relations to project processes and properties are discussed.
