Abstract

This chapter considers issues relating to copyright in a digital context in the United Kingdom, with special reference to the academic sector.Topics include
e-resource primary licences, digital rights management (DRM), sharing and adapting content, audio and video, and licensing schemes. It presents a picture of shifting focuses in copyright legislation and interpretation in a higher education context,and concludes with a look at the growth of the open access movement.
